in different regions in Norway you can find ‘gårdsbutiker’ or farmshops.
the region of Frosta is famous for it (Frosta even got named ‘the garden of Norway’),
but also here in Lofoten we found several shops.
some are just basic minuscule shops, others are lovely and even sell coffee and waffles.
coffee and waffles in the middle of nowhere, perfect.
so we loved our stopover at Aalan gård some weeks ago.
the farm is famous for its cheese and herbs (we got a little guided tour in the farmhouse)
but we discovered their tractor-shaped waffles, that you can enjoy while sitting in their small greenhouse.
